Ganesh Chaturthi 2015

IMG_0049Its always astonishing to see the beautifully done up mandals, the gorgeous ganpati murtis, the extra loud puneri dhol, even louder item songs…

What’s even more astonishing is to see these same murtis thrown in the water, left on the sands just like that, the beautiful sea turned brown with silhouettes of more murtis, the gorgeous mounds of garbage left everywhere you go – The beach, sea roads, footpaths, gardens, stations, simply everywhere!

Fantastic isn’t it? Here’s one more reason to be proud of our city!

Visit one of these beaches the next day early morning before our BMC slogs to clean it and you won’t be able to celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi again with a clean heart… At least not the way you’ve been doing till date!
